UM Melbourne continues to build momentum through its client leadership, strategy and digital ranks with Ivo Kavelj tapped to be managing partner of investment, Justine Mills appointed as the agency’s digital director, and Aaron Perry joining as group director.

As the most recent senior hire at UM Melbourne, Ivo Kavelj comes to UM from MediaCom’s Sydney office, where he served as head of implementation, planning and investment. Prior to MediaCom, he enjoyed working in China for both Vivaki Exchange and GroupM. Kavelj will join existing managing partners Alex Smith, Kim Lion and Dave Hearn on the leadership team.

Perry is the latest senior hire at UM Melbourne. Prior to joining UM, he spent four years at Maxus, most recently leading the agency’s work on Jet Star, AGL and Suzuki Automotive. Before that he worked as a strategist at Australian Radio Network and spent time at MediaCom on CUB Fosters.

Justine Mills has 12 years of experience in digital media with agencies including OneDigital, Carat and Maxus. She has worked across major brands including Google, Nissan, Tourism Australia, Jetstar and Hungry Jacks. At Carat she orchestrated the Schweppes Lounge campaign, a digital hub housed across the Ninemsn network to educate and inspire consumers to use Schweppes products.

In addition to these three new appointments, UM Melbourne has also ramped up its strategy capabilities with a total of five strategy specialists now in the group.
