Huawei Mobile, one of the key local mobile producers headquartered in China, decided to launch one of its new model phones in London on June 18.  UM Beijing was hired to be in charge of the traditional media planning and buying for Huawei, with an estimated spend of approximately $8 million USD.

UM Beijing also won Haier, a local home appliance brand.  UM was awarded the business after a pitch against ten other agencies which included Carat, Maxus, Hylink, and IM2.0.  The task is to manage digital media, creative, strategy and buying services with total estimated billings of $1.5 million USD.
