Old El Paso has partnered with UM London to launch a pop-up at London’s Victoria station in celebration of Cinco de Mayo day today (5 May).

Celebrity chef Andy Bates will be on hand from 7am to 7pm to deliver cooking demonstrations, where he will cook up a series of dishes using Old El Paso products. Passers-by will be able to sample the dishes, as well as pick up recipe cards so they can recreate them at home.

The dishes are featured in the brand’s new content series, which includes 31 recipe videos featuring Bates preparing meals using Old El Paso products.

UM London has produced the series, which is being hosted on the online channel, Food Network.

Rachael Clutton, brand manager, Old El Paso said: “The Cinco de Mayo event in Victoria really brings Old El Paso to life. It allows us to take our new and tasty recipes to the streets, for people to try and enjoy, while showcasing the exciting range we have and the delicious recipes, which can be so easily made.”

Lauren Hertzenberg, senior planner at UM London, added: “The Old El Paso audience are constantly seeking food inspiration online and our easy-to-follow recipe videos on Food Network will reach customers at these key moments.

“We are also excited to be able to bring our content to life in Victoria station with Andy on Cinco De Mayo, to inspire commuters to make tasty, Mexican-inspired dishes for themselves.”
