Cannes Lions, recognized as one of the most prestigious and coveted awards in the advertising industry, has awarded UM with 4 awards within the Media Lions category.

UM Hong Kong won silver for their exemplary work on “Chok! Chok! Chok!,” creating an iPhone mobile app where teens could interact with a TV commercial by shaking their mobile device in an accelerated motion to receive exclusive content as well as receive instant prizes directly from the screen. Therefore, turning an otherwise traditional TV ad into Hong Kong’s first ever interactive TV gaming promotion.

Secondly, UM Romania won Silver and Bronze for their work on “Romanians Are Smart,” challenging citizens from Romania to be the first country to change its image on the internet.

And last but not least, IUM Sweden won Bronze for “Celebrity Ceasefire,” which utilized an entertainment platform to grab the attention of their audience and help make Direct Mail top of mind for consumers.
