Festival of Media Asia Pacific, the largest gathering of media leaders in Asia Pacific, recently announced the shortlist for its 2013 awards with UM garnering a whopping 19 nods.

Leading the pack for UM is Australia with 13 mentions, followed by Malaysia with five and India with one.

Festival of Media promotes and rewards ‘best in class’ media thinking and provides a platform for brands, agencies, and media owners to showcase work at three separate award ceremonies representing the best from the Asia Pacific, LatAm and on the Global level.

Of the Festival’s 18 categories, UM is named in 11, including Best Communications Strategy (News Corp and Lamb), Best Entertainment Platform (Lamb), Best Launch Campaign (MasterCard), Best Social Media Strategy (South African Tourism, and the Department of Families, Housing, Communities and Indigenous Affairs), Best Targeted Campaign (Bird’s Nest, and Xbox), Best Use of Content (MasterCard), Best Use of Mobile (KFC, Xbox, and Target), Best Use of Technology (KFC), Consumer Research Award (Listerine Malaysia), Creative Use of Media Award (News Crop, and Xbox), The Data Innovation Award (Tata Nano), and the Utility/Public Service Award (the Department of Families, Housing, Communities and Indigenous Affairs).

This year’s awards ceremony in Singapore will take place March 18 -24.
