UM London won the “Best Newcomer to Television” category at the 2013 Thinkbox TV Planning Awards for the “Chambord’s decadent TV debut” sponsorship and spot campaign.  Chambord is part of the Brown Forman drinks portfolio and is a French raspberry liquor.

The Thinkbox TV Planning Awards focuses on discovering and recognizing TV campaigns with solid strategic plans that best deliver brand growth and positive business results to clients.

Chambord was virtually unknown in the UK, yet their goal was to increase value sales by 20%. The team at UM London decided to use the entire budget to secure a sponsorship deal with E4’sRevenge, an ABC Studios drama about the decadent and glamorous lives of residents of The Hamptons.  The approach aligned with Chambord’s “why not?” positioning.  Not only did it work to raise awareness and sales, but it also convinced the client to allocate more of its budget to Spot TV.
