LONDON – UM has emerged the victor in a four-way pitch battle, winning the European contract for Bridgestone, the world’s largest tyre and rubber manufacturer.
UM will now handle all European media planning, buying and research for the premium tyre brand.

The brief was to increase brand awareness and develop the existing online portal www.beeneverywhere.eu as a key platform for the Bridgestone philosophy: serving society with superior quality, supporting the lives of individuals.

The integrated, European-wide campaign will run across all media channels, with UM London managing the account for the UK.

Together, Bridgestone and UM will build a new relationship with their consumers, enhancing awareness of Bridgestone and how the brand affects the lives of people on the move.

Jake Rønsholt, General Manager, Corporate and Brand Communications at Bridgestone Europe, said:
“UM has shown great strategic and creative thinking throughout the entire process. As we continue to invest in building our brand, UM’s activation ideas and data intelligence skills will help us achieve our ambitious goals.”

Sven Weisbrich, CEO UM Germany, commented: “We are thrilled by the opportunity to partner with Bridgestone Europe and keen to give them competitive advantage in the marketplace through curiosity, innovation and creativity.”
