A concerted effort at UM China has paid off with two big account wins – Japanese watch brand CITIZEN and Swiss chocolatier Lindt.

CITIZEN Watch China’s planning and buying account was handed to UM’s Shanghai branch after an impressive pitch, besting several major competitors. CITIZEN has turned to UM to implement an image face-lift to appeal to middle and upper-market segments within the Chinese market, which holds a long-standing affinity for the brand.

Since its foundation in 1930, CITIZEN has promoted a multi-cultural mindset that fosters excellence and creativity. As a “citizen” of the world, they make it their responsibility to help cultivate a culture of positive change and ongoing evolution through their craft.

UM China also defended its account with the market-leading brand for premium chocolates, Lindt, headed by the Lindt & Sprüngli Group. The brand is also the maker of the much-coveted Lindor truffles.

Lindt & Sprüngli is now an international conglomerate sold in more than 80 countries. They boast eight production sites throughout Europe and the U.S. with distribution across four continents.

The retention of the Lindt account is a key strategic coup for UM China.

Well done China!
