Jan is a veteran of the communications world. She used her expertise in the creative and media realms to establish her own company MatchWorks, which specialized in finding and sustaining the correct agency-client relationships. From assessing the marketing objectives from the client’s perspective to guiding the selected agency to understand those needs, Jan has learned that the success of a brand is directly tied to the quality of the client-agency collaboration.

She applies her understanding of the clients’ needs of their communications agency to develop marketing solutions that produce tangible results, and strengthen UM-client relations.
Jan Boyle joined UM as EVP, Global Managing Partner lead in December 2008. Jan acts as the facilitator for UM and UM partner agencies, so that each client receives comprehensive marketing solutions that push their brands to their full potential. Jan collaborates with all UM global teams to share best practices, and is an active contributor to the New Business team. By applying expertise honed working for her clients at MatchWorks, Jan is able to determine what clients are looking for in a media agency. She also works closely with all partner companies, so that if a client ever requires a service outside UM’s offerings, Jan finds the best fit among the UM partners.
Jan established MatchWorks, a search consultancy firm, where she applied her 20 plus years in the marketing world to create successful partnerships and increased collaboration between clients and agencies. MatchWorks’ goal was to maximize client-agency investment in one another and drive greater results from their alliance. Besides determining the correct agency fit, Jan offered team building and resource management programs to ensure the ongoing relationship remained strong and healthy.
Jan spent 14 years at Anmirati Puris Lintas where she managed such blue chip clients as BMW and Burger King. Her career began with DDB and McCaffery and McCall in New York.
