Daryl Lee serves as UM’s President/Head of Global Strategy, overseeing the communication and research teams, and playing a central role in the evolution of the UM brand. Heading strategic operations for UM, Daryl organizes and directs strategic planning teams around the world, conjuring their innate curiosity, and transforming their media insights into marketing breakthroughs for global brands such as Microsoft, Sony, MasterCard, Bacardi, Chrysler and many others.
Before joining UM, Daryl was a Senior Partner and Worldwide Group Director of the IBM Strategy Group, and Joint Operating Board member at Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, where he developed a channel planning methodology that was later adopted as the standard for the agency worldwide. Previous to his agency experience, Daryl worked at McKinsey & Company as a Marketing Strategist consultant, specializing in solving marketing challenges in the financial and healthcare industries, and determining the most effective methods to build brand loyalty for the Fortune 100 clients he supported. Daryl was sought after by senior executives for his expertise and stellar marketing strategy.
