Matt Seiler joined the UM team as the Global Chief Executive Officer in August 2008. With a strong background in all matters media and creative, he has transformed UM in only a year. Matt is committed to redefining the scope of media services to encompass all forms of marketing communications, and bridge the gap that exists between media and creative agencies. His leadership and insights encourage UM to excel and deliver clients’ results that go beyond the expected. Matt is a strong leader due to his ability to inspire his team, which is why Mediaweek named him “Executive of the Year.
Prior to UM, Matt served as President and later CEO of PHD North America which he joined in 2004. He revolutionized their offerings to clients as well as established a strong name for the agency through the acquisition of impressive clients (HBO, Overture Films, American Legacy and Safeway), and the pioneering ideas he brought to the table.
Matt has also held other substantial roles within the Omnicom Group, including EVP, Chief Insight and Integration Officer for the holding company and Director of Strategic Planning at BBDO New York. Matt’s foundation for his leadership and client relations began on the account side of the marketing fence as he also served as the Senior Account Director at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
